Melissa Moran is entering her second year coaching with Chartiers Valley High School as their Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. Prior to accepting the Varsity position, Melissa coached for CV’s Youth program (U12) for two years where she was named the 2018 WPSLA Coach of the Year. A Syracuse NY native, Melissa was a member of the NYS Class A State Championship team with West Genesee High School. After High School she went on to play at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY.  During her two years at Monroe, her team earned 2 NJCAA National Championships, one of which she co-captained. Melissa was named to the 2015 All-Tournament Team. After playing at MCC, she transferred to the University of Pittsburgh and played the fall semester on the club team. She then transferred to NCAA Division I Duquesne University, where she completed her playing career. With 15 years playing experience and 4 years coaching, Melissa has played both sides of the ball but specializes in defense.
